(this email may end up in your spam folder). You will be contacted immediately should any issues concerning your order arise. An Post will require a signature for goods on arrival and if no one is home goods will be returned to your nearest An Post mail centre for collection.

United States Delivery?
The United States Postal Service are not accepting overseas packages at this time. There will be no US shipping option available until further notice.

What are the opening hours of your store?
Monday-Saturday 10am to 6pm. Closed for lunch 1.30 – 2pm
Sunday and Bank Holidays 11am – 5pm Closed for lunch 1.30 – 2pm
Do you offer a repair service?
Currently we only offer a repair service to customers who have originally purchased their product from us. Email Patty on [email protected] to book in your repair.
Why do you make things from leather isn’t it bad for the environment and unfair on animals?
All of the leather used by us and our partners is a by product of the meat industry and no animal is farmed for it’s hide. Creating a demand for higher quality leathers leads to high animal welfare standards as any marks on the skin caused by bad handling or conditions denigrates the hide to a bad grade leather.
Products made from leather last longer and with care improve with age. This helps to fight the blight that is “Fast Fashion”. Cheap fake or vegan leather products are all made from polyurethane (pu) a by product of the petro chemical industry. It is extremely cheap and allows bag and accessory makers to produce low quality throw away fashion. It all ultimately ends up in our land fills and oceans, it can take in excess of 500 years to break down
Do you make bespoke products?
As a rule, no. Prototyping products is a time consuming inefficient way of producing 1 item. If you have a favourite belt, guitar strap or similar item you would like to be re made we can do this. Also if you have a book, journal or similar item you would like a leather cover for we can do this. This will require you to visit the workshop to chose your leather and discuss the project. This cannot be done in an email or telephone conversation.
Why are a lot of your handmade items out of stock online?
Making goods by hand is a skilled and time consuming endeavour. Primarily we are a people to people business and our priority is to keep our brick and mortar store in Galway city supplied with goods. This can lead to items being out of stock online. If you would like to check stock availability in store you can call Mark or Patty there on 091 563859.
Is all of your stuff made in Ireland?
No. We manufacture most of our own brand mishnóc products at our leather workshop in Athenry, Co-Galway. If the product is made in Ireland it will say this in the product description. We also use manufacturing and brand partners from around the world with a heritage in the leather industry to bring you a range of products that represent great build quality and fantastic value for money. As makers ourselves we know good product when we see it.
Why don’t you make everything in Ireland?
We can’t. Over the last 50 years there was a concerted effort to move manufacturing overseas in favour of cheaper labour. This has lead to the loss of of our manufacturing skills in many western countries. There is a growing movement at the moment to re-learn these skills and to manufacture locally thus providing skilled jobs. We are glad to be a part of that movement.
Can I visit your leather workshop?
There are plans to allow visitors to the workshop starting in Summer 2020 but at the moment all visits are by appointment only. Please contact Patty at [email protected]
RETURNS POLICY AT MISHNÓC
At mishnóc we offer a no quibble returns policy. If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase simply return it to us within 14 days in any original packaging and with the labels intact for a full refund. Please include a copy of your receipt. Your refund will be made to the payment method you used originally. It may take up to 7 days for this refund to appear on your account. Once your refund has been processed you will be notified by email. All goods returned must be in saleable condition. We do not offer free returns. Please note that we cannot offer refunds or exchanges on products that have been personalised. We recommend you use the AnPost service at www.returnmyshopping.ie if you are based in Ireland or alternatively for European and UK customers use your local postal provider. Returns after 14 days
At mishnóc we accept returns for exchange or credit up to one month from the date of purchase. We cannot offer cash refunds after 14 days. All goods returned must be in saleable condition, unworn and will all original labels and packaging intact. Please note that we cannot offer refunds or exchanges on products that have been personalised.
